| At onset of program Workout Plan: Consistent prior to injury |
A - I have always had a problem with eating enough while involved in an intense exercise program. The meal plan has really helped me to get in my meals with the addition of protein shakes as meal replacements. Q – What made you to decide to get fit? What was your turning point? A - I suffered a broken ankle and was unable to exercise for 12 weeks. Once my cast was removed, I knew I would need a consistent workout program to lose the unwanted weight I had gained during my injury. Q – What was your plan for weight loss and diet? A - My plan was to employ a personal trainer who had an understanding of nutrition and strength training, coupled with a cardio workout. Q - How are you able to maintain your new lifestyle? A - believe my motivation stems from my desire to maintain a weight proportioned to my height so that my clothes fit well. In addition, I enjoy the extra burst of energy I receive from daily exercise activities. Being fit assists with rest; I get a very good night of sleep and feel invigorated in the morning. All of these benefits allow me to remain focused on fueling my body with the right types of food and maintaining a daily exercise routine. Q - Do you have any motivating secrets for success? A - Keeping a positive attitude, believing in myself and persistence. Q – What is your current workout schedule? A - I personal train with Alondra three days a week, participate in one day of boot camp, and do two days of 2-hour uphill hiking. |
