| 1 - What was your fitness goal when joining The Inner Athlete? What brought you to The Inner Athlete? I was looking for an after-work fitness routine that would challenge me physically and maintain my interest long-term. The boot camp class was very challenging and also fit into my work schedule. 2 – What made you to decide to make fitness a priority? What has made you stay with the Inner Athlete for this long? Fitness has always been a priority in my life. I had some health concerns years ago and then decided to focus on my health as a priority. The Inner Athlete, the trainers and the other clients have inspired me and helped my with my fitness goals. The atmosphere and positive environment at the Inner Athlete keeps me coming back every day. 3 – What had been your plan for weight loss and diet in the past? In the past, I mostly focused on routine exercises in which I was quickly bored, and crash or extreme diets, in which I often quit. 4 – How are you able to maintain your fit lifestyle? What have you learned from your trainers/classes? I exercise 5-6 times a week and have made it an essential part of my lifestyle. I’ve learned that exercise doesn’t need to be boring and awful, in order to be effective. It does, however, need to be challenging. I have also changed the way I eat, eliminating most white sugars and white flour products, and instead focusing on natural and whole foods. 5 - Do you have any motivating secrets for success? Challenge yourself!! Try to do things that you would not normally do and then make it a goal. You will feel even greater about yourself. 6 – What is your current workout schedule? I attend boot camp at least 5 days a week and sometimes 2 boot camps per day. On Sundays, I try to take a long walk with my daughter or Gizmo, my dog. 7 - What encouraging words would you say to someone who doubts the value of having a trainer? Once a person learns an exercise routine, they can probably do it over and over on their own. I think Trainers are important because they keep you honest and can constantly make sure that you are being challenged in your exercise routine. Having a trainer improves your results. 8 - What are your favorite workout moves? Of course, bicep curls—check the “guns”. And Squats; I love to work on my “Junk in the trunk!!” 9 - What is your next fitness goal? By what date have you set this goal? Right now, I want to lose about 10 more pounds; I want to increase toning and begin sculpting my body, particularly my abdominals. I have set August 1st as my goal. 10 - Who do you look up to for fitness inspiration? Alondra is a great inspiration; her body is strong and her focus and dedication in admirable, but I’m looking for someone my height!! LOL!! |
