A - I joined the Inner Athlete just over two years ago. I was looking for something new
and different. I needed something to keep me accountable and that something was
Alondra. Just about a year ago I found out I was pregnant. I knew that often once a
woman has a baby she finds it very hard to get back in shape. I didn't want to give
up. I really, really wanted to set a healthy example for my baby and I didn't want to let
it get out of control.

Q – How did you maintain your fit lifestyle during pregnancy?

A - At the beginning of my pregnancy I went to boot camp 3 times a week. Then
toward the end I came twice a week. Alondra helped me modify my workout so I could
work out up until two weeks before my baby was born. I had a quick delivery and am
sure I can attribute part of that to my consistent workouts.

Q – What is your plan for post-natal weight loss and diet?  

A - I gained about 40 pounds during my pregnancy. Like I said I didn't want to let my
weight gain get out of control. I got back in the gym 6 weeks after Rachel was born.
So far I have lost ALL but 7 pounds of my baby weight. I still have some work to do
but I am almost there. My next goal will be to lose the weight I have gained since
being married.

Q - What motivates you to you maintain your fit lifestyle?

A -  I want to keep working out so my daughter Rachel will see my example. I want
fitness to be second nature to her. I hope she doesn't have to struggle with weight
the way I have had to struggle.

Q - Do you have any motivating secrets for fitness success during
pregnancy?  

A -  I think I was able to come back to the gym so quickly after having my baby
because I continued to work out during my pregnancy. I didn't break my habit. I didn't
want to stop coming because I know the longer you are away from the gym the
harder it is to come back.
